Touching You

~Touching You~

(original artwork by David Mesplé - thumbnail from Exhaustion of Courage)

My palms ingest your protective fleece
My fingers devour you like Penelope
Welcoming home her hero

These hands remember every hair
Every curve, like a bird in migration
My skin senses where home is

Your skin beckons my grasp
Touchable creaminess covers your body
Like silken spun softness – it’s magic
I feel like Ulysses and your velvety skin

My quest

On Being a Hermit

~On Being a Hermit~

I know the heart of the Hermit
Is a heart war torn
Beaten and downtrodden
A resource tattered and scattered
Used up then left aside

Outside life progresses on

Crawling away, hiding within
Recluse like in darkened internal dens
Withdrawing from the poisons
Of a venomous world

In solitude healing begins

The battle scars reflect
Days once lived in belief and faith
Offering up compassion and love
To those whom choose to only fear

Alone time stands still

Turn off the chatter of a wounded heart
Live a life apart from all the winds
Forgiving forgetting the Terrors of life
Rebuild a spirit that is strengthened
From within

Love is the visceral elixir of faith

The Hermit becomes wise
Beyond thoughts, beyond body
Knowing that to be alone within and without
Heals the tortured soul so that
Wisdom can be born

Come out

Enter - Julie Lynn

~Enter - Julie Lynn~

Secrets kept beneath God’s breath
Are never revealed until
The moment when in expectation
There is a face given a name

Time spent in worry and wonder
Dreaming of who shall appear
Thinking of moments not yet
Lived and then with forceful love

You breathe deeply and I sigh
You jump the bridge between
Ocean and land
I welcome home my
Newest love

The supposed pain is just a dream
The magic is put into motion
Greeting hugging looking
Wondering if we’ve met before

Wispy hair and the softest skin
Breath so fresh in this foreign land
Our eyes drink one another in

God’s secret is revealed at last and
I grasp your love and hang tightly
For together we’ve an adventure
And we’ve made a pact
Forever you’ll be a beat in

My heart

~ Sleeping Eve’s Lament ~

~Sleeping Eve’s Lament~

I sleep - I dream
Eyes shut against visions unreal
Believing I see and hear God

I sleep - I dream
Desiring, devouring
Forbidden harvest
Believing I’m dismantling truths

I sleep – I dream
I fall betraying my soul
Revealing the rawness
A veneer of flora conceals
Believing I’m naked

I sleep - I dream
Reaching inward outside myself
Touching skin to love
Believing I’m birthing sin

I sleep – I dream
Unconscious in fantasia
Waiting to be awakened
Believing Singularity
