To Hell with Sanity

To Hell with Sanity

Outraged, the soul seeks refuge
Within communities that reflect
Only what is feared inside
Shelter found under guises of
Words comforting distraught egos
Yelling in CAPS - I am This! I am That!

Chasing monsters in the streets
Yelling screaming injustice
Refusing to succumb to defeat
Whether using phones keyboards or signs
Shouts of Ideology Theology Philosophy
Deafen the heart

What’s the difference in the over all scheme
Of perceived horror and gore?
Side versus side squared
You are right  - they are wrong
All fighting for an unreal trophy

To Hell with sanity!

Idiots believing that laws save them
Morons believing protest heal
Cull the herds is the undercurrent
Of what is happening today
What is real?

Listen to hatred within all hearts
Clawing at and tearing the mind apart
Slinging barbed words and bullets too
With intent of inciting the beast to appear
With intent of killing what is feared

Annihilate the boogeyman everyone screams
Annihilate the boogeyman it’s in your head
Creeping under your bed as you sleep
Go ahead and point and yell
Fear thy neighbor and go to hell!

Traveling a road of no return
Dragging all innocents through the dirt
The human race is but a disgrace to
Themselves and to all of Space
Blinded by fears of perceived lack
Gnashing devouring teeth of hatred’s
Fears have come beckoned by a call
Entrenched like ticks bleeding

The heart toward desired death

To Doubt the Self

To Doubt the Self

(Photo of David Mesplé)

David dove headlong into his thoughts,
barely believing his musings meant anything,
even though being a professor was perfectly
agreeable akin to his academic beliefs.
His heart, upon hearing of his doubting,
argued against agreeing with any defeat,
proposing letting go of the angst and fearing;
his soul hugged him with longing and acceptance.

Words Diabolic

Words Diabolic

Loquacious obnoxious opinions
like diabolical poltergeist,
Spew evocative insults invited not!
Words unsolicited unwanted unwelcome,
seize this soul via vocabulary stronghold.

Leave now!

Evacuate these ears replete with fears
Return to me my dignity within
