Like Alabaster Lace

~ Like Alabaster Lace ~

The earth’s cooling mood
Summons a tangible quietness
Demanding stillness of life

Sounds muffled, landscapes blanketed
Beneath Sacred geometry dressed in
Icy garments of white

Like Alabaster Lace, snow dancing down
Silently sharing a timbre of emotion only known
Intimately by the skies above

A purposeful repose gives honor to
The sprig and the seed that are at rest
Beneath gelid blankets of white

Journey Home

~ Journey Home ~

Closed eyes, lids shut tight
Diving inward, immersed
Beneath entangled thoughts

Swimming amidst Ego’s landmines
Swaying, bobbing, a victim of
Undercurrents ebbing, pushing guilt
Pulling, flowing with fears

Eyes open, sudden awakening
Releasing to embrace willingness
Letting go intentionally

What is this that beckons me onward?
Luring me with Omnipresent Light
I follow, opening to trust
Acceptance of my spirit’s
Natural state

Doors unencumbered by hinges and locks
Open upon request as beatific songs
Fill my ears, “Come closer, trust I Am here”

Opening, exploding with desirous longing
Thoughts of guilt and doubt fall away
Softly I step into my own longing
Embracing the Eternal Love of Christ

I am home
I am home
I am home

A Finite Game

~ A Finite Game ~

Hiding beneath silence
Like water over sand
The Ego dances violently
Upon Dark intent
Boasting obliteration
Of The Light

Fabrication of dreams
Deception in schemes
Fantasizing what Never was

Separate individuality
Fueled by finite games
Screams in pain while
Infinitely losing to
Its own delusions

Luminosity of Spirit
The Light immutable
Continues unaware of

Such madness

Drenched in Thy Love

~ Drenched in Thy Love ~

My body born heavy
Feeling forsaken
Thrown to the beasts of darkness
Gnawing, devouring all hope
Nightmarish imaginings
Strangling my voice, silencing
Truth

Questions devour this heart
Oh God! Is this life?
Save me! Lift me up!
Fill me to the brim with
The beauty of your Light!

Silencing the lies
Giving trumpets to truth
I fall away from dreams
Landing upon that small space

I Am Home

Impregnating my soul as I breathe out
Inhaling your Love, your Cause, Your Grace
My Spirit floats away into my heart
Heaven was always within
Anticipating the return!

I am drenched in thy love
I am riddled with desire
I am obsessed with memory
Eternity lures like thick sweet honey
Alas, I am One with You

~ Oh Eyes of Mine ~

~ Oh Eyes of Mine ~

My eyes defy me, much like bratty school bullies

Telling me I'm insane to believe I can see beyond

What my vision imagines!

Silly eyes of mine, such bratty orbs of ocular protein

Trying to be unlike one another,

Hinting that one's color 'tis more like a robin's egg

Than the other's!

Oh, but I know my eyes, and in the night they rest,

Their defiance sleeping until the morrow when

Once again, like a fresh morning dew all wet with promises,

My eyes will be one - until the  brattyness  begins

Then I shall take each one under fist and rub them hard

Demanding they stop and desist their petty quarreling.
